REMED is designed to facilitate routine high volume processes that are essential but are also the bottlenecks at hospitals. REMED balances the need for management information with an essential data set that is key to hospital processes. REMED was specifically designed around the current standard forms that nurses have to complete as part of their duties.

REMED currently consists of two modules namely a patient administration and a pharmaceutical dispensing module. The system handles the processing of outpatient, inpatients, their transfers, deaths and discharges. It also allows the pharmacy to produce and print labels for the patient's medication.
