→ results in shorter queues at public hospitals
Medicine Dispensing
- Creates labels when medicines are dispensed. The labels consist of the name, directions, any warning that have been assigned to that medicine item and the clinic that the medicine was dispensed from.
- A patient is able to use their repeat prescription at any clinic except when it is the last repeat prescription. In that case, the patient will have to go to the original clinic.
- The current stock inventory is updated when a medicine is dispensed.
- The prices of the medicines that are dispensed are calculated and recorded.
- Labels are printed for each container of medicine that is dispensed. Each label also has a bar coded prescription number.
- The system also prints a trailer label for each prescription that is issued.
- A label is also printed to inform the patient of the last repeat.
